Plan your December 2014 to come to Chennai, India for 9–12 December for the Second International Conference on Creative Mathematical Sciences Communication. Chennai is a beautiful city in Tamil Nadu, southeast India. The conference organizer is Jam, Professor of Computer Science at IMSC and organizer of many large-scale math days/weeks for middle/high-school students, as well as university.
Dear all,
when chatting with Fran and Mike, I was asked to leave some traces of our outreach activities led by the University of Trier in Germany.
The website should give some description (in German) of the first “children’s university” in Wittlich, which is a town close to Trier, turning this city into a university city, as the mayor’s representative proudly announced, as this was the first activity of this kind in Wittlich.
However, we do such activities on a regular basis, so we offer the program “we play computers” in different variants both at the university and in other projects that the university is involved in, as last year’s “city university” in the downtown area of Trier (with many people just passing by and observing our “maths activities”) or at the “Bundesgartenschau” in Koblenz.
Our (my) last maths PD for the year will be this friday. Please reply to this notice by 2pm Thursday so that arrangements can be made. A final email will be sent Thursday afternoon.
